Do I have to subscribe to Cam Plus to use your cameras?

While we recommend Cam Plus for access to smart detections and notifications, it's not required. With our subscription plans you get access to pet detection and sound detections such as barking or meowing. However, you can still access live feeds with a free account and use a microSD card for video recordings and image captures.

What should I do with multiple pets?

While a single Wyze Cam Pan v3 could manage the monitoring of a single space well, most cameras have limitations when trying to track multiple pets. We often suggest a cam per room and hallway.

How do I set up pet detection?

  1. Log in to your Wyze app to set up your Wyze devices. 
  2. Activate & set up your Wyze Cam in your Wyze account. 
  3. Create a schedule within Wyze app to trigger motion detection notifications while you are away from home. Tap Home > + plus sign on the top left >Add Rule >Schedule
  4. Set the Action to send your desired type of alert when motion is detected. 
  5. Set the time for the Rule to be active. 
  6. Tap Save.

How do I get bark alerts?

You will need a Cam Plus or Cam Protect subscription enabled on your Wyze Cam to set up alerts for pet sounds like barks & meows.

What's a PTZ pet camera? I'm confused.

PTZ stands for "Pan, Tilt, and Zoom." It's a popular type of camera for anyone looking to keep an eye on moving subjects such as toddlers and furbabies.

What's the best pet camera?

That depends. If you have a power outlet nearby, the Wyze Cam Pan v3 is a motion cam that can track move all around a room. It can even be mounted outside when you add a Wyze Outdoor Power Adapter Bundle to it.

Now, if you need a camera but have no power outlets around, you should consider our Wyze Battery Cam Pro with either extra batteries or solar panel. If you mount this in a sunny area, the Wyze Solar Panel will keep this camera going for a long time. However, if there is no sun, you could get extra removable batteries to switch them out periodically.
