What is the Access Point feature used for?
Access Point setup lets you use a Wi-Fi hotspot to connect to your mobile device during setup. This saves you the hassle of climbing up a ladder to scan the QR code.

What is the Motion Detection range?
The floodlight can detect motion up to 30 feet away, with a customizable Detection Zone.

Can I store video recordings locally on a microSD card?
Yes, Wyze Cam Floodlight v2 has a microSD card slot in the camera that allows you to record 24/7 and store videos locally. The microSD card slot supports up to 265 GB (exFAT and FAT32 formats).

How does the motion-activated light work?
When motion is detected by the 270° PIR sensor, the floodlight turns on for a select period of time and then turns off. This feature is enabled by default but can be disabled in the floodlight's settings.

No, Wyze Cam Floodlight v2 does not have a battery and must be hardwired.

Is Wyze Cam Floodlight v2 hardwired?
Yes, Wyze Cam Floodlight v2 needs to be hardwired either where another floodlight is installed or by using a junction box. Please ask a licensed electrician if you do not have a junction box set up yet.
